midnight animation
Exhibition, Book / 20062006年、DIC株式会社主催の色をテーマにした展覧会「COLOR OF 10」展（会場：DIC COLOR SQUARE）のために制作し、出品した作品です。来場者投票で1位となり、美術出版社より書籍化されることとなりました。
真っ黒な背景に赤と緑のシンプルな図形が描かれた小冊子とカードのセットに、DVDが付属しています。付属のDVDには画面全体を赤と緑に点滅させる映像しか収録されていませんが、部屋を真っ暗にし、このDVD再生画面を光源として本やカードをかざすと、光に合わせて本の上の図形が2コマのアニメーションとして見えてきます。
印刷物でありながら、手に取ったままアニメーションを鑑賞できるという、色の原理を用いた実験作です。

In 2006, We created and exhibited this work for the color-themed exhibition "COLOR OF 10" sponsored by DIC Corporation (venue: DIC COLOR SQUARE). It won the first place in a visitor's poll and was published as a book by Art Publishing.
The booklet and card set with simple red and green shapes on a pitch-black background comes with a DVD. The accompanying DVD contains only a picture of the entire screen blinking in red and green, but if you hold the book or the card up to the DVD's playback screen as a light source with the room completely darkened, the figure on the book will appear as a two-frame animation in sync with the light.
This is an experimental work that uses the principle of color, so that you can enjoy the animation in your hand, even though it is a printed material.
